The more I am reading The Great Indian Novels by Shashi Tharoor, the more I am getting engulfed. Probably I should call it a ‘honeymoon package’ of satire and sarcasm. I keep on laughing relentlessly on his sardonic sentences. I don’t remember what the last time was when I had such a wonderful wry book in hand.
Apart from dealing with my two most favourite topics – Mahabharata and Indian Independence Struggle, this novel is no doubt a masterpiece by Shashi Tharoor. But I really don’t understand what his problem with ‘Bengali brethrens’ is.
