Oh No…..Indian Idol hits again....

The season has begun. Again. The bunch of ‘besuras’ will rule the television prime time. Again. The judges will come up with some nice-to-hear-but-hollow statements; candidates will be busy in playing real-life drama and the anchors as usual will look good but act numb when chaos erupts. But you just cannot avoid it. If not Indian Idol, then there is Sa Re Ga Ma Pa with its gaudy set; if not Sa Re Ga Ma Pa then Golden Voice. You are just left with no choice other than switching off the idiot box or breaking it down purposively so that no other member of the family can see it. But alas...................

that's called reality TV show... however we may find a real good voice from these shows as an increasing no. of people are able to display their talent!

I am still confused about what is basically a reality TV show. According to me, the only programme I have ever watched and felt that it is a reality TV show was MTV Bakra where the VJs used to make fool of the public and I can bet that a lot of people will agree with me.
The standard which these programmes like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Indian Idol etc. maintains, I find nothing real about it. Participants come with lot of expectations that they have good voices and they can make a carrer in Music. But just look at the TV channels which make fun of their talents by leaving their future on the public who go with the participant's face and and his sympathetic conditions rather than his talent. Voting. Oh my God! This cannot be a compettition, this is simply gambling where a participant wins by the number of votes he gets. Just tell me how many people in India know what is Sur, Taal, Chand, Lay, Perfect Pronunciation, Voice Modulation and n number of things which are required but they never choose a winner on the basis of his capability.
And I feel funny about the Honourable Judges who just sit to make comments and not to declare the results which the Indian public do not even care. The judges have so much of free time. I have stopped watching these type of programmes.
